Mondelex International Inc. settled a lawsuit that accused the company that its Wheat Thins crackers was falsely advertising its ingredients, Top Class Actions reported.

The plaintiffs argued that the crackers are not 100% whole grain as claimed on the box.

Instead, the plaintiffs alleged that the crackers are made from refined grains.

Wheat Thins are made by Nabisco, which Mondelez International owns.

The crackers are sold at most major retailers, including Walmart and Target.

Mondelez did not admit any wrongdoing, but settled the lawsuit for $10 million to resolve the claims.

Those who bought any Wheat Thins product that’s labeled 100% whole grain between October 13, 2018, and May 9, 2025, are eligible to apply for the settlement.

These products include: Original Wheat Thins, Reduced Fat Wheat Thins, Sundried Tomato & Basil Wheat Thins, Big Wheat Thins, Ranch Wheat Thins, Hint of Salt Wheat Thins, Cracked Pepper & Olive Oil Wheat Thins, and Spicy Sweet Chili Wheat Thins.

Class members are eligible to receive a cash payment.

To claim the money, class members must have proof of purchase and can receive $4.50 per household.

Depending on the number of boxes purchased, households can get up to $20 per household.

Class members must submit a claim by July 7, 2025.

The final hearing for the settlement is scheduled for December 11, 2025.

Americans have just weeks left to apply for a class action lawsuit against the plus-size clothing retailer Torrid, Top Class Actions reported.

What’s a class-action settlement?

Class action lawsuits offer groups of people, or ‘classes,’ a way to band together in court.

These suits are often brought by one or a few people who allege a company or other entity has wronged a large group of people.

When a suit becomes a class action, it extends to all “class members,” or people who may have similar complaints to those who filed the suit.

Companies often settle class actions – offering payment to class members who typically waive their right to pursue further legal action by accepting money.

These payout agreements frequently include statements by the defendant denying wrongdoing. Companies tend to settle class actions to avoid the costs of further litigation.

Pollution, discrimination, or false advertising are a few examples of what can land a class action on a company’s doorstep.

Plaintiffs claim that the retailer posted deceptive discount ads on its website.

Class members said they would not have purchased products from Torrid if they knew the company did not offer the advertised discounts.

The retailer denied wrongdoing but agreed to pay $10 million in cash and credit to settle the case.

Under the terms of the lawsuit, eligible plaintiffs can receive up to $15 from the company’s cash fund.

Claimants can also choose to get a $15 store voucher instead.

Store vouchers will be sent via email and can be used during a single order on Torrid.com or at one of their stores.

To receive a settlement payment, class members must submit a valid claim form by August 26.
