A FLORIDA State football player has been hospitalized after getting shot.
Freshman linebacker Ethan Pritchard is in critical but stable condition at a Tallahassee-area hospital.

According to the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office, Pritchard was in a car outside of an apartment building when he was shot.
Florida State said that he was visiting family in Havana, Florida at the time.
“Ethan Pritchard is in critical but stable condition in the intensive care unit at a local hospital after suffering a gunshot wound last night while visiting family in Havana, Flordia,” FSU said in a statement.
“The Pritchard family is thankful for the support from so many people, as well as the care from first responders and medical professionals, and asks that their privacy be respected at this time.
“Further updates will be provided as they are available.”
The Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office told WCTV that the shooting took place around 10 pm ET.
Pritchard was found injured inside of his car.
“Officers did arrive [and] were able to get him out of the vehicle, and EMS arrived where they transported him to a local hospital,” Captain Anglie Holmes told WCTV.
It is believed that the shooting was due to a mistaken identity, with an investigation currently underway.
Pritchard underwent surgery for his wounds on Sunday night, according to The Tallahassee Democrat.
Pritchard is from Sanford, Florida, and enrolled at FSU this summer.
He did not play in the team’s season-opener against Alabama on Saturday.
