FORMER NBA star Danilo Gallinari’s pregnant wife was bitten by a shark while swimming in the sea.
Following 14 seasons in the NBA, Gallinari now suits up in Puerto Rico.

The Italian, 36, and wife Eleonora Boi recently headed to the beach at the Puerto Rican Carolina resort.
While swimming in the sea, Eleonora suffered a terrifying ordeal.
The 39-year-old confirmed on Instagram that she was bitten by a shark.
Police commissioner Captain Ruben Moyeno has since confirmed that Eleonora is in a stable condition, despite suffering an open wound.
Puerto Rican outlet El Nuevo Dia report that Eleonora was transported to a local medical center, but that her injury was “not serious”.
Having analysed photographs of the wound, biologist Nilda Jimenez believes that the bite could have come from a shark.
“This afternoon, we were informed of an incident that occurred in an area of Carolina,” Jimenez said.
“At this time, DRNA biologists have not had the opportunity to assess the injury in person.
“Based on the photographs provided to us, we believe the characteristics of the bite could be consistent with those of a shark.
“But to validate this, a series of analyses would be necessary.
“For this purpose, medical personnel were asked for samples, which, if available, would be analyzed promptly.”
Eleonora was initially not named as the victim, but Captain Moyeno went on to confirm her identity to El Nuevo Dia, while also saying that she is pregnant.
No public warning has been made to locals, with zero restrictions placed on those swimming in the sea.
But local lifeguards have reportedly been made aware of the incident.
Gallinari was drafted No6 by the New York Knicks in the 2008 NBA Draft.
During his NBA career he played for the Knicks, Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers, Oklahoma City Thunder, Atlanta Hawks, Washington Wizards, Detroit Pistons and Milwaukee Bucks.
Gallinari last played in the NBA during the 2023-24 season.
The small forward featured 17 times from the bench during the regular season, before playing in a further three games during the playoffs.
Having failed to make an NBA roster at the start of last season, Gallinari opted to play overseas.
The Italian signed for Vaqueros de Bayamon in the Puerto Rican league back in January.
