LOTTERY officials are scrambling to find the owners of unclaimed winning tickets that are due to expire in a matter of days.
Powerball prizes across multiple states are waiting for their winners to cash in.

The ticket bought at King Soopers was drawn on February 10, 2025 – but time is quickly running out to collect the winnings.
According to Powerball.net, the last date to claim is August 9, 2025, giving the owner just a few days until it expires.
The website explains: “If a grand prize goes unclaimed, the money is returned to each participating state in line with how much they generated during that particular jackpot run.
“Unclaimed Powerball prizes in other categories are kept by the relevant lottery jurisdiction, and redistributed according to state rules.
“In many states, this money is used to support good causes.”
Three more £50,000 prizes waiting to be claimed also expire this month.
In Louisiana, a ticket drawn on February 15 expires on August 14, giving its owner less than a fortnight.
This ticket was bought at Marty J’s Truck Stop in Chauvin.
But also in the Pelican State, a ticket bought in Downsville expires a few days later on August 23.
It comes from a ticket drawn on February 24.
And in Iowa, a ticket bought in Davenport has a deadline of August 28 for collection.
It was drawn on March 1, and was bought at KC Brothers.
But these are just the most urgent of the outstanding prizes waiting to be claimed – some of which hold absolutely jaw-dropping sums.
Two Powerball tickets worth a life-changing $1 million are waiting to be claimed – and will expire in January.
One of these tickets was drawn on July 9 in Nebraska, and the other on July 14 in Arizona.
