The current Colorado head coach feared for his life and even wrote a will.

But Sanders is now cancer free and his tumor has been removed.

His close pal Michael Strahan took to X, posting a touching message and a throwback snap after Coach Prime’s good news.

He wrote: “Proud of my brotha Deion Sanders.

“He has continued to fight and do it while using his platform to help others.

“Love you my man… and can’t wait to see you back out there doing what you are meant to do, COACH!!

“This photo is from back in the day when he was coaching high school ball.

“‘He ain’t new to this, he’s true to it’… if you don’t believe he’s doing this for the love of the kids and giving young men and women an opportunity on and off the field, I respectfully ask you to please think again.”

Opening up on his brave battle, Sanders revealed he did not even tell his NFL sons Sheduer and Shilo that he had cancer.

He said: “My sons, to this day, don’t know what transpired, I just told them it was something with my foot, because I wanted to give them the focus on making the team and not focused on dad.

“I cannot control my bladder. So I get up to go to the bathroom already 4-5 times a night.

“And I’m sitting there waking up like my grandson. We in the same thing.

“We got the same problem right now. We’re going through the same trials and tribulations.

“I’m making a joke out of it, but it’s real. So if you see port-a-potty on the sideline, it’s real.

“I’m just telling you right now, you’re gonna see it.”

He encouraged men to go to the doctors, adding: “Men, everybody, get checked out, because if it wasn’t for me getting tested for something else, they wouldn’t have stumbled up on this.

“Especially African American men, we don’t like going to the doctors. We don’t like nothing to do with a doctor.

“I’m not just talking to the brothers — I’m talking to my Caucasian brothers, my Hispanic brothers, my Asian brothers, my everybody — and my sisters. Get checked out. Because it could have been a whole other gathering if I hadn’t.”
