SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A gas line has been hit in De Smet. Officials are asking residents to shut off unnecessary electric devices and evacuate their homes if they smell gas.
The event center in town is available for those who need a place to go until the issue is fixed.
According to Kingsbury County Sheriff, the line was hit on Calumet Avenue and 3rd Street.
Some businesses in close proximity have already been evacuated, the post said.
