Glen looked unrecognisable as he showed of an insanely ripped body for the front cover of the October issue.
But the body builder physique he was seen proudly modelling was actually not real.
The actor was wearing a muscle body suit which gave him bulging biceps, thighs and calves.
The shoot was part of GQ’s “New Masculinity” issue, which was published digitally today, and included several extreme photos.
Sharing the shoot on Instagram, the magazine wrote: “Presenting GQ‘s October issue: a special report on the state of the American male in 2025″.
In the accompanying interview, Glenn talked about masculinity and being a modern-day leading man in the movies.
He opened up about being cast multiple times as a “cocky” guy, which includes his role of Lt. Jake “Hangman” Seresin in Top Gun: Maverick.
“I’ve never been Mr. Cool,” he told GQ.
“And what’s funny is that you start getting cast in certain things — like Hangman is not me, right? I’m not that guy.”
The actor added: “That’s the funny part about Hollywood. You can’t really choose it.
“People have to cast you in these movies. And I think what I started realizing is that people got enjoyment out of watching me be really cocky and confident.”
The actor recently made headlines when he ruled himself out of running to be the new James Bond.
Glen said he was “not the right person” for the role after Daniel Craig said goodbye to the role in 2021.
Over time, bookies have placed their bets on a string of Hollywood A-listers to take on the role, including Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Idris Elba and Henry Cavill.
But speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Glenn said simply: “I’m a Texan. My family and I joke around, I can play Jimmy Bond, but I should not be playing James Bond.
“Get an authentic Brit for that job. That’s who belongs in that tuxedo.”
