Taylor, who played rebellious Jenny Humphrey in Gossip Girl, left little to the imagination as she embraced a daring artistic comeback.
The star wears nothing but black body paint in the band’s new music video for their new single, For I Am Death.
She posted a behind-the-scenes snap from the set on Instagram, showing off her sensational figure in a mirror selfie.
Fans flooded the comment section to share their surprise over the singer’s “shredded” appearance.
One commented: “Strong is beautiful amazing body
”.
Another added: “I’ve never seen you so ripped.”
A third penned: “Whoooooot!? Those abs!”
Their new single, For I Am Death, drops this Friday and is likely the first single off the band’s upcoming fifth studio album.
Taylor told Loudwire Nights: “What I can say is stay tuned. This is just the beginning and the next 12 months is going to be insane.
She teased: “We have a lot on the horizon, a lot of different things, some of them are going to take you by surprise.”
The Pretty Reckless just finished their 15-month stint opening for AC/DC’s $75.8M-grossing, 61-date Power Up Tour.
The singer said: “I think we’ve made a lifelong connection here.
“They’re just the greatest people and they are what rock and roll is meant to be. This has been a dream come true.”
The star founded The Pretty Reckless in 2009, and they’ve sold over 1M records and currently average 2.2M monthly listeners on Spotify.
Her bandmates are guitarist Ben Phillips, bassist Mark Damon and drummer Jamie Perkins.
Taylor retired from acting after starring as Jenny Humphrey in the teen drama Gossip Girl, which aired for six seasons spanning 2007-2012 on The CW.
She said her passion for music was greater than her love for acting on Penn Badgley’s podcast Podcrushed.
Taylor revealed: “[Acting] was a childhood thing that I got put into when I was two years old.
“I wasn’t making my own choices then. And literally, as soon as I got to an age where I could make my own decision, it was like a click.
“I woke up one morning and went, “Wait a second. I don’t have to do this. I can just play in my band, and tour, and write songs. I can just do that.”‘
The star showed singing talent from a very young age.
At just seven years old, she released her first song Where Are You Christmas? in 2000 for the soundtrack of How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
Now, Taylor has carved out huge success with The Pretty Reckless, scoring multiple No1 rock hits in the US and touring the world.
The band’s 2021 album Death by Rock and Roll topped the charts and cemented her reputation as a powerhouse frontwoman.
She’s even opened for rock legends like Guns N’ Roses and Foo Fighters – proving she’s left the Gossip Girl days firmly behind.
