According to the Thai Meteorological Department (TMD)’s 24-hour weather forecast, heavy rainfall in some areas of Thailand poses risks of flash floods and sudden water surges. Residents are advised to exercise caution due to the potential accumulation of rainwater.
In the north, thunderstorms are forecasted for 60% of the region, with heavy rain expected in areas such as Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Nan, Uttaradit, Phitsanulok, and Phetchabun. Temperatures are predicted to be between 23 and 26°C at the lowest and 32 and 36°C at the highest.
The northeastern region is predicted to experience thunderstorms across 60% of the area, with heavy rain anticipated in provinces like Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan, Amnat Charoen, Nakhon Ratchasima, and Ubon Ratchathani. Temperatures are expected to range from 23 to 26°C at the lowest to 28 to 33°C at the highest.
Central Thailand will have thunderstorms affecting 60% of the area, with heavy showers in Nakhon Sawan, Chai Nat, Lop Buri, Saraburi, and Kanchanaburi. Low temperatures will be between 25 and 27°C, and highs will range from 30 to 32°C.
In the east, thunderstorms will impact 70% of the region, with some areas experiencing very heavy rain, including Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Chachoengsao, Chon Buri, Rayong, Sa Kaeo, Chanthaburi, and Trat. Temperatures will vary from 24 to 28°C at the lowest to 27 to 33°C at the highest. The sea will have waves 1 to 2 metres high, with areas experiencing thunderstorms seeing waves exceeding 2 metres.

The eastern part of the southern region will see thunderstorms in 40% of the area, notably in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Songkhla, Yala, and Narathiwat. Temperatures will range from 24 to 26°C at the lowest to 30 to 34°C at the highest. The sea will have waves around 1 metre high, increasing to 1 to 2 metres offshore, and in thunderstorm areas, waves may exceed 2 metres.
The western part of the southern region will experience thunderstorms across 60% of the area, with heavy rain expected in Ranong, Phang Nga, and Phuket. Temperatures will range between 24 and 27°C at the lowest and 31 and 33°C at the highest.
From Phang Nga upwards, the sea will have waves about 2 metres high, exceeding 2 metres in thunderstorm areas. From Phuket downwards, the sea will have waves 1 to 2 metres high, with waves exceeding 2 metres in thunderstorm areas, reported KhaoSod.
Bangkok and its vicinity will see thunderstorms affecting 70% of the area. The temperature is expected to range between 26 and 27 degrees Celsius at the lowest and 32 and 34°C at the highest.
