Down Home Fab is on the chopping block for Season 4[/caption]
The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal former Teen Mom 2 star Chelsea Houska’s series Down Home Fab, which is currently airing its third season, has also not received the greenlight for Season 4.
“We are keeping our fingers crossed for Season 4,” a source close to the show told The U.S. Sun. “We are hoping we get renewed. We haven’t heard anything from the network yet.”
LOW RATINGS
Down Home Fab’s ratings for the current season have been disappointing.
The premiere episode on May 27, 2025 brought in 526,000 viewers, while the June 3 show had 499,000.
The June 10 show dropped down to 446,000 viewers, but went back up to 524,000 on June 17.
The most recent episode on June 24 had 506,000 people watching.
While ratings are roughly similar to previous seasons, Down Home Fab did reach an impressive 878,000 viewers for the January 30, 2023 episode.
Down Home Fab is currently the 7th most-watched show on HGTV, as the top spot belongs to My Lottery Dream House with 820,000 viewers.
Cancelled shows Farmhouse Fixer and Bargain Block get well over the amount of ratings as Down Home Fab.
Farmhouse Fixer’s latest episode on June 11, 2024 had 951,000 viewers, while Bargain Block had 731,000 for the October 2, 2024 show, making their cancelations shocking.

DOWN HOME’S RULES
Chelsea and Cole’s strict rules during filming could hurt them when it comes to a renewal.
“They are just really adamant about staying close to home because of the kids,” a source previously told The U.S. Sun.
“They only want to be an hour or so away from the kids and I get that. Everyone wants them to come to other states.”
Chelsea and Cole currently renovate homes within about an hour of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
They have this restraint to be able to spend more time with their children Aubree, 15, who Chelsea shares with ex-boyfriend Adam Lind, and her kids with husband Cole: Watson, 8, Layne, 6, and Walker, 4.
Based in South Dakota, Chelsea’s designs are often rustic and farmhouse style with modern touches.
Her designs often feature antler chandeliers, cowhides, Buffalo portraits and more popular trends in South Dakota.
In addition to the series, Chelsea also owns storefront Down Home by DeBoers in Tea, South Dakota.
