A TEXAS high school track star has died suddenly in his home.
Roy Hughes, a 17-year-old student at Lincoln High School, was found dead in his home on Friday.

Officers were called to the scene around noon local time and found Hughes unresponsive.
His mother, Virginia Mosely, told Fox F News that he went to track practice that morning and fell asleep when he got home.
Hughes never woke up after going to sleep.
Dallas Fire-Rescue reportedly pronounced him dead at the scene.
Hughes was a state champion track star at Lincoln High School.
He ran a 36.58-second time in the 300m hurdles to win the 4A state title.
Hughes was set to start his senior year of high school on Tuesday.
According to the Dallas Morning News, an autopsy will be performed to determine his cause of death.
Lincoln High School posted a tribute to Hughes after his death on social media.
“We mourn the loss and honor the life and legacy of Legendary Roy Lee Hughes-a true MODEL who Defied the Odds and Defined Excellence,” the post read.
“A respectful young man with a heart of gold, he became a state champion through discipline humility & an unshakable commitment to his team & school.”
A balloon release was held on Sunday at the high school to honor Hughes.
Friends and family were in attendance.
Hughes’ brother, Timmy Williams, shared a message with Fox 4 News about his brother.
“I just wanna say, grateful for what he did and thankful for what he did, he’s gonna push us forward all the way through now,” he said.

“He was always a good person, had a good heart for everybody,” he said.
An outpouring of support was shared for Hughes on social media following his death.
“Beyond heartbreaking, my sincere condolences to all who knew & loved this young king,” one person said.
“Our hearts and prayers go out to the Lincoln Community and every one who this young man touched,” another said.
“May you rest in peace, Roy Lee Hughes. Condolences to his family and loved ones,” a third person said.
