FANS around the world are still reeling from the news that Hollywood’s golden couple, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban, have split.
Over the years there have been plenty of shock Tinseltown break-ups, which includes a $250million divorce and also a row on a plane which ended a marriage.

This week Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban announced they had broken-up after 19 years of marriage.
The news spread like wild fire after Nicole filed for a divorce, the day after they confirmed they had separated.
However, it has since come to light that it was musician Keith who first pulled the trigger, and wanted to split.
According to TMZ, Nicole made several attempts to save their marriage, but Keith was already “done” with the relationship and wanted to separate.
Nicole and Keith’s split follows a number of other fairytale Hollywood relationships that have come to an abrupt end…
Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise
Let’s kick off with Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise AKA Tom-Kat.
No one saw this one coming.
After a whirlwind marriage, Tom jumping on a sofa in declaration of his love for Ms Holmes and also welcoming one adorable daughter, it was suddenly all over in 2012 after five years together.
Things quickly turned sour when it was revealed they didn’t have a prenup.
This came with HUGE implications for Dawson’s Creek legend Katie.
Despite Tom’s fortune, which at the time stood at $250M, he was only required to pay $400K a year in child support for their daughter Suri.
Katie, however, received no lump-sum payout from the Mission Impossible star, and no spousal support.

Things certainly took a bitter turn with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie revealed they were heading for divorce after over ten years together.
Their relationship was always full of speculation from the minute they met on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith, while he was married to Jennifer Aniston.
However, Brangelia’s fairytale romance did not play out.
The couple filed for divorce in September 2016.
It followed an incident on a plane when Brad allegedly lost control of himself and clashed with son Maddox, who was 16 at the time.
However, a source close to Brad said: “He is emphatic that it did not reach the level of physical abuse, that no one was physically harmed.
“He did not hit his child in the face in any way. He did not do that; he is emphatic about that.
“He put his hands on him, yes, because the confrontation was spiralling out of control.”
Neither Brad or Angelina have ever spoken publicly about the alleged incident, to confirm or deny it.
The couple finalised their divorce in 2020.
Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher
Back in 2024, fans were left with their jaws dropped when Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher announced they were divorcing.
The couple first met in 2001 before marrying nine years later, and welcoming three kids along the way.
They were once believed to have one of the strongest marriages in showbusiness.
But in April last year, they announced their supposedly harmonious divorce with a cheesy snap of themselves posing in tennis whites and told their followers: “After a long tennis match lasting over 20 years, we are finally putting our racquets down.
“We have always prioritised our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change.
“We forever share in our devotion and love for our children.
“We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family’s wish for privacy.”
According to sources they cheerfully told friends there would be no drama, no tension and no bitter legal wrangles.
But a year after their split announcement sources claimed this couldn’t have been further from the truth, and said at the time: “It’s war.”
It wasn’t until June this year that their divorce was finalised as the former couple divided up their $120M fortune.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom seemed like a match-made in Hollywood heaven.
However, in June reports started to swirl that they had split.
While Orlando headed off to Venice for Jeff Bezos’ wedding, Katy was seen getting tearful on her tour.
The couple then eventually confirmed their break-up in July, revealing they had “shifted their relationship” to “focus on co-parenting”.
Katy and Orlando, who got together in 2016, share daughter Daisy Dover, five, together.
In a statement about their relationship being over, a rep for the couple told E! News: “Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting.
“They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is—and always will be—raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”
Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness
Another split NO ONE saw coming was Hugh Jackman and his wife, Deborra-lee Furness’ break-up.
The former golden couple announced in 2023 that they were ending their marriage after a 27 years together.
“We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth,” Hugh and Deborra-lee told People.
The statement continued: “Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness.
“We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”

Sadly it wasn’t meant to be and the former lovebirds are now divorced.

Fans were really rooting for Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck when they got back together in 2021.
The couple first met twenty years before on the set of the film Gigli.
Despite their chemistry, the movie flopped.
