Cardi B shocked New Yorkers as she mingled with commuters to promote her upcoming new album.
Strolling through the subway in white joggers and a black hoodie, the artist yelled: “Good evening everybody, I’m trying to sell these CDs, I’m trying to change my life around.
“I used to be a professional ballerina, well, uh, I’m trying to make a better example for my kids.
“If you could please buy my new album, Am I The Drama, $9.99.
“We’ve got the vinyl. Please support a mother of three. September 19, Am I The Drama!”
Reflecting the true subway experience, Cardi B suddenly saw a rat and shouted: “Oh my God! I can’t, I can’t, I can’t. Get me out of here.”
Loyal fans hailed the move as “iconic Cardi energy.
Taking to social media, one praised: “Idc what anyone says, the marketing for this era has literally been GENIUS!
“She’s been going outside & not staying inside letting her fans promote her era using Bing AI!”
Another predicted: ” ‘Many (including your fave) will duplicate after this, y’all will see.”
While some critics claimed it was a step down for the Grammy winner, who usually sells out arenas.
One slammed: “This is so embarrassing… she looks homeless.”
Another added: “Cardi B’s subway stunt for ‘AM I THE DRAMA?’ is just another desperate cry for attention. Real artists don’t need to stoop this low”.
A third penned: “Desperation at its finest.”
The artist shared the video on Instagram with the caption: “7 more days until I find out if I’m going to lose my home.
She joked: “Buy my album to help me save it.”
Despite shutting down talk she’s broke – fans say she’s only fuelling the rumors by hustling on the subway weeks after her split from ex-husband Offset.
The Bad and Boujee rapper is rumored to be facing major money woes, with claims she owes millions in unpaid taxes.
Cardi and Offset share three kids together — daughter Kulture, 7, son Wave, 4, and baby girl Blossom, just 12 months old.
