Huge boyband cancel massive stadium gigs as they send apology to devastated fans

JONAS Brothers have issued an apology to fans after downgrading some of their stadium venues.

Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas are celebrating their 20th anniversary as a band this year, and are touring the country with their Jonas20: Living The Dream Tour.

Their latest album, Greetings From Your Hometown, will launch on August 8th, shortly before the tour dates kick off.

However, it’s now been confirmed at least six of their shows have been moved to different venues, becoming more intimate as they trade stadiums for arenas and ampitheaters.

In a statement posted online, the group said: “Every decision we make is with you in mind, ensuring the best experience for our incredible fans.

“We’re making some venue changes, but rest assured, all performances are still happening on the same dates and in the same cities.

“We’re pouring our hearts into making this the best tour we’ve ever done, We love performing for you and sharing this journey together…

“We apologize for any inconvenience these changes have caused and we can’t wait to see you on the road!”

In another frustrating move for fans, the new tickets will need to be bought separately rather than automatically changed, despite them being on the same dates.

Tickets for the original shows will be automatically refunded, with those who purchased the previous shows getting priority when they go on sale at 10am local time on Wednesday.

According to Variety, fans were informed of the decision on Friday via an email from Ticketmaster, as well as on the band’s Instagram account.

Today, the band announced a string of new dates, as well as the new venues, on their Instagram account, confirming they’ll be joined on the tour by Marshmello, Boys Like Girls and All American Rejects.

They promised they’ll be “bringing you all of your JB favorites both old and new, as well as solo performances from Nick, Joe, DNCE, and The Administration.”

Their August 12th Washington DC show has moved from Nationals Park to Jiffy Lube Live, followed by their Philadelphia date on August 14th switching from Citizens Bank Park to Freedom Mortgage Pavilion.

On August 26th, the band will play Tinley Park’s Credit Union 1 Amphitheater in Illinois instead of Wrigley Field, while on the 28th they’ll trade Detroit’s Comerica Park for Little Caesars’ Arena.

In Dallas, TX, their August 31st show will now take place at Dos Equis Pavilion rather than Globe Life Field.

Finally, their scheduled Los Angeles show on September 6th has moved from Dodger Stadium to Intuit Dome in Inglewood.
