I-29 open after semi caught fire

SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) — Interstate 29 is back open Tuesday morning after part of it was shut down following a vehicle fire. Drivers are asked to slow down in the area.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, around 3:30 AM, a semi was traveling southbound on I-29 near mile marker 60 when its trailer caught fire.

The semi was able to quickly unhook from the trailer. No injuries were reported. However the trailer full of french fries is a total loss, the sheriff’s office said.
