The American singer was brought out to kick off the main card in a shocking surprise for viewers who found themselves hit with a shot of nostalgia.

Her rendition of the star-spangled banner went down a treat, with viewers impressed after being reminded of the star’s vocal talents.

One X poster said: “JoJo DELIVERED with her performance of the national anthem for the Taylor vs Serrano fight.”

The singer’s new look also made waves among fans, many of whom had not seen the singer in the two decades since the peak of her stardom.

Another X poster commented: “Y’all remember the singer JoJo? I hadn’t seen her since I was younger, she’s aged well!”

Most viewers would remember her best for her 2004 debut hit ‘Leave (Get Out).’

Now 34, JoJo was just 13-years-old when her debut song shot straight to number one in the charts.

Her follow up album, released later that year, peaked at number four on the US Billboard 200.

In the years since, JoJo has dipped her toes into the world of acting with spots on shows such as Hawaii Five-O and Lethal Weapon.

In 2023 she made her broadway debut in Moulin Rouge.

The surprise kicked the night’s event off with a bang, and it ended that way too.

Inspirational Irish boxer Katie Taylor won a unanimous decision to retain her undisputed title.

The victory made it a clean sweep of three consecutive decision wins over her Puerto Rican opponent Serrano, who must feel as though she has deja vu.
