Indiana Fever ticket prices in freefall and almost HALF after Caitlin Clark’s latest injury is announced

CAITLIN Clark is having the opposite affect on ticket prices as she had last year.

While Clark‘s rookie season brought millions of viewers to the WNBA, her sophomore year isn’t meeting standards.

Clark’s injuries have tanked WNBA ticket prices[/caption]

The biggest change between this year and last year is Clark’s injury struggles.

She has already missed about half of the Indiana Fever‘s games this year between a quad and groin injury.

Because of that, ticket prices for Fever games are plummeting.

Friday’s matchup between the Dallas Wings and Indiana Fever was set to be a marquee event.

It was the first meeting of 2024 No. 1 overall pick Clark and 2025 No. 1 overall pick Paige Buckers.

On Thursday morning, get-in prices for the game were around $190, according to SeatGeek.

Now, those tickets have taken a 40 percent drop to $115.

The drop in ticket prices is especially notable as the Wings moved the game to the American Airlines Center, where the Dallas Mavericks play.

That arena seats around 20,000 fans, more than three times what the Wings’ usual home, College Park Center, holds.

Now there is some data to suggest that the stands will still be packed.

The Chicago Sky moved their game on June 7 to the United Center, the home of the Chicago Bulls for their game against the Fever.

Clark ended up missing that game too, but a sellout crowd of 19,496 people were in attendance to watch the game.

Still, ticket prices did drop by about 70 percent after Clark’s injury was announced.

Clark’s most recent injury has left her with a day-to-day status, with uncertainty around her status for Friday night.

All-WNBA first and second team

THE 10 best players in the WNBA have been selected and named to the All-WNBA first and second team.

First team:

  • Caitlin Clark – Indiana Fever
  • Napheesa Collier – Minnesota Lynx
  • Breanna Stewart – New York Liberty
  • Alyssa Thomas – Connecticut Sun
  • A’ja Wilson – Las Vegas Aces

Second team:

  • Kahleah Copper – Phoenix Mercury
  • Sabrina Ionescu – New York Liberty
  • Jonquel Jones – New York Liberty
  • Arike Ogunbowale – Dallas Wings
  • Nneka Ogwumike – Seattle Storm

She already missed Thursday’s game against the LA Sparks.

“I think it’s very much a day-to-day thing how she responds to treatment,” Fever head coach Stephanie White said.

“But yeah, found out late last night and we will treat it day-to-day…

“C has shown that she is tough and she’s a quick healer, so we’ll see.”

If Clark does end up playing, some fans will score a great deal to see her play.
