Inside Lush’s new Halloween launch with 90s throwback treat and skincare essential that movie fans will love

LUSH is famous for its luxurious skincare and haircare products as well as its incredible bath bombs.

When it comes to making baths and showers an indulgent experience, there is no doubt that high street beauty brand comes out on top.

But what the global cosmetics retailer also has a form for is its incredible themed products – especially around the festive time.

We all love a bit of Snow Fairy at Christmas, but this year it’s Lush’s Halloween range that has knocked it out of the park.

The beauty pros have launched a brand new, bewitching range in time for spooky season, and their products are a must-have this October.

We’re taking a look at some of the most unique creations from Lush’s new collection that will delight fans who are anticipating the arrival of fright night.

Alien Egg Farm Shower Jelly – £10

Everyone who grew up in the 90s will remember the iconic jelly Alien Eggs – kids loved playing with and collecting the gooey creatures.

Plus, legend had it that they could reproduce and even open their eyes if you looked after them properly.

Well, now Lush has teleported us back a few decades with their brand new shower jelly inspired by the legendary toy.

This incredibly zesty Halloween treat comes straight from Area 51 and is full of sweet lychee juice and lime peel infusion, which makes the skin feel mysteriously soft and soothed.

Just scoop it out and lather it on your skin for an invigorating cleanse before rinsing it off and enjoying the softness it leaves behind.

But remember to pop it in the fridge or the freezer before showering if you want an extra hit of freshness that’s out of this world.

Demon In The Dark Soap – £6

This product is back by popular demand after being a huge hit in 2006 with shoppers who love the haunted season.

It might look dark and spooky, but this black bar hides a bright secret – it glows in the dark, similar to last year’s Hocus Pocus Soakus bubble bar.

To see the ghost in the central glow, all you have to do is charge it under a light before lathering it all over.

Once you do, its bewitching powers will lure you in with its spine-tingling, refreshing aromas of peppermint and spearmint.

This devilishly minty soap is also delightfully fruity with notes of apple juice and warming clove bud oil to lift your spirits.

But be sure to keep it somewhere dry and draining in between uses!

Boo-tiful Eye Pads Eye Mask – £3.50

Another lovely ghost Halloween treat that Lush has launched this year is the new Boo-tiful Eye Pads, and fans of the Nightmare Before Christmas will love them.

These incredibly hydrating pads make tired eyes look un-boo-lievable by making dark circles vanish into thin air.

Created to look like the beloved spirits in the opening credits of the much-loved Tim Burton film, these will sit perfectly under the eye to give them a fresher appearance.

These skincare essentials are full of hydrating carrageenan extract, which softly cools the under-eye and works on hydration.

While the gentle lavender oil soothes and calms both the delicate skin and your mind as you inhale its floral fragrance.

For the best results to reduce puffiness, use it straight from the fridge and enjoy a chilling experience that leaves you feeling relaxed and refreshed.

Monster Mash Head and Body Bath Bomb/Bubble Bar – £3/£6

It’s not just ghosts that Lush has created new products around – they’ve also turned all of our favourite Halloween characters into bath bombs.

Their new Monster Mash Head and Body collection is a real mix-and-match treat, allowing you to pick the head of one character and put it on the body of another for the perfect Halloween bathtime creation.

All the heads are huge bath bombs, while the bodies are bubble bars that last that little bit longer.

And you can choose from a fang-tastic Dracuala, which smells of sweet coconut and creamy vanilla or a cotton candy witch who turns your bath into a pink cauldron of delights.

There is also Frankenstein’s Monster, which gives you an electrifying bolt of grapefruit and tangerine oils to help shock you back to life; and the classic skeleton, which has a sweet scent of bergamot and tangerine that will leave you feeling fruity and fresh.

‘SECRET MESSAGES’

A WOMAN has revealed she was left stunned when she discovered a ‘secret message’ on her Lush hair conditioner.

Brooke splashed out on the Super Milk spray from the much-loved store after hearing about its lasting smell on social media.

But she then made another discovery, after learning that the stickers on Lush products – which say which employee made them – have messages underneath.

Admitting in a TikTok video that she must have been “living under a rock”, Brooke said she “never knew that”, so wanted to see if it was true.

Peeling back the sticker on the Super Milk spray, she saw it said “Got plant-based milk?”

Brooke then went to find another Lush product to see what was under the sticker on that one.

She found a shower gel from the Shrek range, and underneath the sticker it said “there’s an arrow in your butt”.

According to Lush themselves, the secret messages are for the person who places the stickers on the pot or bottle – so they know “exactly where to pop it”.

Mr Pumpkin Face Mask – £10

If you’re looking for something a little more grown-up this Halloween, then don’t worry – Lush still has you covered.

One of the beauty brand’s more indulgent treats this Halloween is its new festive face mask, Mr Pumpkin Face.

Pumpkins are full of vitamins, making them a perfect fall treat for the skin, so the experts have packed this face mask full of their goodness.

The Vitamin-rich pumpkin purée nourishes the skin, while the organic pumpkin seed butter softens and moisturises it.

It also has some ground pumpkin seeds, which give a gentle exfoliation to leave skin looking radiant.

And there is no preparation needed – just apply to your face and relax, and then rinse off after ten minutes using circular motions.

This gently scrubs the skin with the ground pumpkin seeds as you wash it off.

But remember to keep it in the fridge to preserve its freshness and add a soothing, cooling touch.
