SYDNEY Sweeney risks yet another backlash by hooking up with billionaire record exec who ‘stole’ Taylor Swift’s albums.
Not that she seems to care as her star power just keeps soaring.

With her blonde hair, dazzling smile and a body to envy, Sydney Sweeney looks like an all-American movie idol and has become the ultimate modern Hollywood pin-up.
Now the man lucky enough to be dating her has been revealed as Scooter Braun.
He is the billionaire businessman and record executive hated by a generation of pop fans.
He bought the master recordings to Taylor Swift’s music in 2019, which she claimed was done without her permission.
It is the latest in a series of controversial moves by the defiant 27-year-old actress that prove she is not afraid to rock the boat of the woke mob.
‘She is uncancellable’
And her determination to do as she pleases, which is also said to include being a supporter of Donald Trump’s Republican Party, taking part in an “anti-woke” American Eagle advert and releasing a soap made from her own bathwater, is paying off.
Only yesterday, it was revealed that she has landed yet another huge brand deal, becoming the face of designer brand Jimmy Choo’s autumn campaign, for which she posed in a series of new photos.
Sydney has once again proven that she won’t be swayed, or kowtow to the threat of cancel culture, despite a backlash against her new romance with a 17-year age gap.
One woman wrote on X: “Starting to wonder if rage baiting is Sydney Sweeney’s new marketing strategy.”
And another said: “As someone who has been mildly amused and very impressed by Sydney Sweeney’s ability to constantly p**s everyone off, it pains me to say that the Scooter Braun dating rumors have stunned me to silence. She finally got me.”
And under the Jimmy Choo ad that features the actress, one triggered follower wrote: “Ermm no thanks! There are far more inclusive and smart people than this.”
Star magazine in the US claimed at the weekend she was dating 44-year-old music mogul Scooter, and showbiz news website TMZ has since confirmed it.
They claim the couple met at the multi-million pound wedding of Amazon boss Jeff Bezos and journalist Lauren Sanchez in Venice in June, and have since been on a series of dates.
But they are believed to be keeping it “casual” and it has been described as a “situationship”, following the end of Sydney’s engagement to businessman n, 42, in January.
They had been together since 2018 and got engaged in 2022 with plans for a wedding in May.
They split up as her star power soared.
But PR guru Mark Borkowski reckons her growing string of controversies have helped propel her forward.
He told The Sun: “Sydney hasn’t dodged the storms, she’s ridden straight through them and somehow come out shinier.
“Most actors caught in the crossfire of partisan politics, fan wars, or brand ‘wokeness’ wobble, apologise, retreat. Sweeney doesn’t.
“She keeps working, keeps fronting campaigns, keeps landing movies.
“That relentless forward motion has become its own PR strategy: The next premiere, the next photoshoot, the next glossy cover pulls the audience’s attention forward.

The music exec has also worked with Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato[/caption]
“Momentum itself is her shield. Crucially, she isn’t doing this alone.
“Behind her is a professional machine that knows how to keep her image afloat. No flailing on Twitter. She lets the visuals do the talking.
“Add Scooter Braun into the picture and the message is clear: She has heavyweight operators around her who understand the alchemy of fame.
“Braun is a fixer, someone who knows how to turn enemies into fuel. So the storms aren’t really avoided; they’re converted. Outrage becomes visibility, visibility becomes currency. That’s why she’s been signed up by Jimmy Choo, and why she will keep landing glossy campaigns tomorrow.
“For now, Sydney Sweeney is un-cancellable.
‘Incessant bullying’
“Not because she’s flawless but because she’s profitable, relentless, and backed by people who know how to weaponise controversy rather than crumble under it.”
Scooter made a name for himself as a music manager, having discovered Justin Bieber in 2008 and steered his career until leaving the industry last year.
He also worked with Ariana Grande, Kanye West and Demi Lovato among others.
Scooter was previously married to activist Yael Cohen, 38, with whom he has three children, but they split in 2021.
Their relationship crumbled after his reputation took a battering over the clash with Taylor.
In 2019, he bought the rights to the first six albums from her old label Big Machine Records.
She vented online, claiming it was done behind her back.
Later she accused him of not letting her perform her own music and of “incessant, manipulative bullying”.
He then sold her music rights to a private equity firm in 2020.
Taylor bought them back this year for an undisclosed fee, although Scooter later said her reaction was “deeply unfair”.
This means there is a whole army of Swifties who have directed hate at him — and are furious about Sydney’s fling with Scooter.
It comes after a report about the actress — who rose to fame in the teen drama series Euphoria — claimed last month she had listed her party affiliation as Republican when she registered to vote.
‘Career killer’
In July, the actress was hit by accusations she was “tone-deaf” for her American Eagle jeans advert.
It saw her leaning over a car in tight denim jeans before a voiceover said: “Sydney Sweeney has great jeans.”
The advert was branded “fantastic” by Trump and saw the brand’s stock price surge ten per cent, $400million, in a single day.
But many online said the ad was “problematic” for saying a white woman with blue eyes and blonde hair was the ultimate example of “good genes”.
And that came a month after she was slammed for releasing a limited-edition bar of soap featuring her bathwater.

A PR guru said ‘Sydney hasn’t dodged the storms, she’s ridden straight through them and somehow come out shinier’[/caption]
It was a tongue-in-cheek reference to a candle with the scent “Jacob Elordi’s bathwater”, following a scene in the 2023 film Saltburn in which Barry Keoghan’s character drank Jacob’s bathwater.
Reacting to the comments on social media, she said: “It was mainly the girls, which I thought was really interesting.
“They all loved the idea of Jacob Elordi’s bathwater.”
Sydney has made it clear she is always paying attention to what people are saying about her — whether that is positive or negative.
She told The Wall Street Journal: “I think it’s important to have a finger on the pulse of what people are saying, because everything is a conversation with the audience.”
However, PR expert Mark has offered a warning to Sydney, saying: “Hollywood history is littered with cautionary tales of stars who thought they were untouchable.
“The lesson is that hubris is the real career killer.
“The higher you fly, the harder and faster the fall when studios decide the risk outweighs the reward.
“Sweeney has so far proved she can surf the waves of outrage.
“But history reminds us that the sea is always hungry for its next shipwreck.”
