A NEW ruling has dealt another blow to the election interference case against President Trump as the court declined to intervene in an appeals court ruling against Fani Willis.
Fani Willis, a district attorney for Georgia’s Fulton County district, was initially pursuing a case against Trump and Georgia’s lieutenant governor, Burt Jones.

Willis accused Jones of being a fake elector for Trump during the 2020 election.
She charged Trump and 18 co-defendants with conspiring to overturn the former president’s 2020 election loss to Biden in Georgia.
However, the district attorney was removed from the case after it was discovered that she was having an affair with the special prosecutor she hired, Nathan Wade.
The romantic relationship between the two raised questions about any potential conflict of interest that may have arisen.
A trial judge initially let Willis keep the case despite the affair, but an appeals court reversed the first judge’s ruling.
The motion to remove the district attorney was initially brought up by Trump’s co-defendant, Michael Roman, according to the BBC.
Roman served as an operations director for Trump’s 2020 presidential campaign.
He accused Willis of being involved in an “improper, clandestine personal relationship” with Wade.
Willis was already under scrutiny, as the US House of Representatives had subpoenaed her over allegations that she fired a whistleblower who tried to stop a campaign from misusing funds.
The district attorney acknowledged that she and Wade had a romantic relationship, but claimed it started after they worked together.
