NFL training camps have only just begun, but fans are already jumping to conclusions.
At Kansas City Chiefs training camp, it appears the defense has the early edge over the offense.

Patrick Mahomes has already thrown an interception early in Chiefs training camp[/caption]
In a recently released clip, Patrick Mahomes can be seen attempting to connect with Travis Kelce in the end zone.
Instead, the pass is deflected by Drue Tranquill and ends up being intercepted by Chamarri Conner.
Chiefs fans instantly jumped to conclusions about this and shared their thoughts on the interception on social media.
“Is the defense good or is Mahomes washed?” one fan said.
“Kelce might be cooked,” another fan said.
“Still forcing the ball to Kelce. Mahomes needs to break that habit,” a third fan said.
“We are cooked,” a fourth fan said.
“Travis Kelce gotta retire,” a fifth fan said.
Mahomes is hitting a major milestone in his career during the 2025 NFL season.
On September 17, he will turn 30 years old.
Mahomes was 23 in his first season as the starting quarterback for the Chiefs, and now he is in his eighth year as the starter.
“It’s been a fun run,” Mahomes said, via ESPN.
“We’ve had a lot of great players in this building, a lot of great people and so it makes it enjoyable to come to work every single day.
“I still have some guys with me that have been there the whole time and then adding new guys gives you a new juice and a new spirit to go out there and be even better.”

While fans might be quick to react to an early training camp interception, Mahomes feels his age is helping him improve some aspects of his game.
“More than anything I have a better understanding of my body,” Mahomes said.
“I know the extra amount of recovery stuff I need to do, how to feel my best on a day-to-day basis.
“Obviously I probably bounced back a little bit quicker when I was younger but at the same time, I have a better plan and a better standard that I hold myself to on a day-to-day basis so I can be ready for every single practice.”
