Hurts was lining up to take a knee and run out the rest of the clock with his team leading 20-17.

But Chiefs defensive lineman Jones had some words for him.

“You don’t even have 100 yards,” Jones was heard shouting across the line of scrimmage.

But Hurts was in no mood to talk about personal accolades.

The Eagles star reminded his rival of the scoreline in the Super Bowl rematch.

“We won the f***ing game,” Hurts replied.

And the quarterback added, “Shut yo ass up.”

The players were seen exchanging words after the next play.

But Hurts had the last laugh as his team ran out winners at Arrowhead Stadium.

The Eagles inflicted the second loss in a calendar year on Kansas City after February’s Super Bowl.

They improved to 2-0 and consigned the Chiefs to an 0-2 start.

Hurts had a quiet game by his lofty standards, but Jones wasn’t quite factually correct.

The Eagles quarterback finished with 101 passing yards after 15 completions from 22 attempts.

He was held without a passing touchdown by the Chiefs defence.

But Hurts also had nine carries for 15 yards and a score.

His rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter put the Eagles ahead 20-17.

“Take pride in winning, one, and take pride in what is required of you, two,” Hurts said.

“The team defensively played lights-out.

“Offensively we played well when we needed to.

“And we just need to continue to build.”
