Brown, 74, has made a name for himself as one of the top NFL experts by previewing Sunday’s biggest game each week.

Reports suggested that he was considering quitting after a two-decade stint.

His contract expires after the next season.

And it fuelled speculation that Brown was ready to call it a day.

However, Front Office Sports claims that is not the case.

Instead, Brown is looking to STAY behind the camera.

And he is now deep in talks over a fresh contract with CBS.

But there is still some way to go before an agreement can be reached.

The report stated: “Negotiations have started, but no deal has been finalized.”

Brown has already seen numerous changes take place at The NFL Today.

Last year, analysts Phil Simms and Boomer Esiason were both released from the show.

In their place came the younger Matt Ryan and JJ Watt.

While Bill Cowher and Nate Burleson continue to offer up their thoughts on the game’s hot topics.

Indeed, it’s reckoned that Burleson is in prime position to replace Brown when he does decided to step away.

But with the veteran set to extend his deal, that time is still far away.
