NEW York Yankees star Jazz Chisholm Jr. got mocked for his disappointing Home Run Derby performance on Tuesday night.
Social media got their jokes in on the Yankees’ All-Star second baseman Chisholm.

Chisholm was one of eight participants in the home run competition at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia.
However, Chisholm hit just three home runs in the Derby and was eliminated in the first round.
Chisholm’s three home runs were the fewest of the first round by a wide margin, as Atlanta Braves star Matt Olson’s 15 was the next closest.
The 27-year-old’s home run total came after he swung the bat 38 times.
Chisholm’s performance was so underwhelming that even MLB‘s official social media account tried to sugarcoat his showing.
“Jazz Chisholm Jr. was here for the vibes,” the MLB wrote on X.
Baseball fans then made sure to joke about Chisholm’s home run total.
“I guess he was there for the vibes, cause he was not there to hit homers,” one wrote.
“Throw me out there and I’ll hit more,” another commented.
“That wasn’t a performance by Jazz, it was just a cameo,” a third joked.
“How embarrassing was that?” a fourth asked.
Chisholm didn’t seem embarrassed as he had a big smile on his face after his performance.
He was then embraced by fellow Yankee All-Star teammates Aaron Judge, Max Fried, and Carlos Rodon.
Luckily for Chisholm, he didn’t have the worst Derby performance of all time.

Another Yankees player, Robinson Cano, had one of the worst performances back in 2012.
Cano didn’t hit a single home run in the event.
The goose-egg was even more surprising given the fact that he won the Derby the year prior.
While others could’ve earned the Derby spot over Chisholm, the two-time All-Star has had a stellar season, especially in the home run department.
Chisholm has 17 homers in 65 games this season.
