JENNIFER Aniston’s boyfriend Jim Curtis was hit with a $30,000 property lien on his luxury New York City apartment last year after he failed to pay fees- and it wasn’t the first time.
Jennifer’s new hypnotist love interest bought the beautiful abode in 2015 for a $1.25 million, and now, a decade later, comparable listings in the building are hovering around $1.5 million.

Jennifer‘s boyfriend first had trouble keeping up with the property’s common charges back in 2017 when he missed payments for March and February of that year, totalling $15,242 in outstanding fees.
Common charges are typically applied to property in a multifamily building, with the money going towards building maintenance, staff salaries, snow removal, holiday decorations and other shared building expenses.
It took about two months before that lien was resolved and considered terminated on April 20, 2017.
Then, on March 7, 2024, the Friends star’s boyfriend was hit with another lien for allegedly failing to pay his common charges again.
This time, however, Jim’s lien was nearly double at $29,538.19 for the claim of unpaid common charges.
It also appears that there has been no resolution filed as of yet, and the lien appears to remain open.
The U.S. Sun has reached out to Jim for comment.
UP FOR RENT
As The U.S. Sun previously reported, the wellness guru is trying to rent out the beautiful apartment.
The stunning two-bedroom, two-bathroom home is being offered fully furnished at $11,500 per month, showcasing Jim’s exceptional taste in interior design.
For those preferring an unfurnished option, the property can be rented for $10,500 a month.
The listing states that the apartment entered the New York City rental market just over a month ago, shortly before his romance with the Friends star became public knowledge.
The elegant home is described as seamlessly combining classic charm with contemporary amenities.
With features like exposed brickwork and a casement glass partition, Jim’s apartment exudes a chic “loft” aesthetic. The building is also conveniently located just steps away from the iconic New York City waterfront.
Meanwhile, Jennifer, 56, resides full-time in Los Angeles, where she owns a stunning $21 million mansion in Bel-Air.
A SUMMER ESCAPE
As previously reported by The U.S. Sun, Jennifer was recently seen enjoying a romantic holiday with Jim, who describes himself as a “wellness pioneer.”
The couple were introduced by mutual friends, and this is Jennifer’s first public relationship since her split from Justin Theroux in 2017.
During their getaway on the Spanish island of Mallorca, the pair appeared close and cozy.
“They’re keeping things very private but have been spending a lot of time together,” a source revealed to Us Weekly. “They’re happy and really into each other.”
The insider added, “They’ve been meeting up often, mostly discreetly at her home in Los Angeles. It’s a peaceful and calming space, which suits her perfectly. They’re a great match.”
Jim has shared insights into his journey to becoming a hypnotist, explaining that it stemmed from his personal healing experience.
