The moment happened on Monday night’s episode of the game show, in which a trivia question stumped all three players.

Returning champ, Paolo Pasco, went up against two new contestants after defeating his previous opponents the last three games.
He battled Ryan Sharpe, a student from Oakville, Ontario, and Kelsi Tyler, a nonprofit program director from Austin, Texas.
Despite getting a slow start, Paolo secured a second-place spot heading into Double Jeopardy! with $4,800 behind Ryan’s $7,200.
Ryan almost had the game after nabbing the first and third Daily Double’s in the second round, bringing his total to $27,600 versus Paolo’s $16,800.
Kelsi remained in third place, trailing behind with only $4,800 going into Final Jeopardy!
However, Paolo managed to climb to the top after being the only contestant to get the question correct.
The final totals were Paolo with $27,601, Ryan with $21,599, and Kelsi with $1,000.
Viewers might’ve not been too surprised to see Paolo secure the victory after he dominated the last few episodes.
However, many were shocked to see that all three young players couldn’t identify a photo of late celebrity guest, James Earl Jones.
One trivia question challenged the contestants to name the actor after showing them a photo of him from his early days on Sesame Street.
Host Ken Jennings was met with blank stares by the trio, as none of them could place the star’s name.
Fans online laughed at the moment, with some joking that James’ stint on the children’s program was way “before their time.”
“NOBODY knew James Earl Jones?!?!” another said on X.
“Shouting JAMES EARLJONES. duh,” wrote a third.
James died in September 2024 at the age of 93.
The EGOT recipient had a standout career who had many notable roles, including lending his voice as Darth Vader in the Star Wars franchise, and as Mufasa in the Lion King.
He was also well-known for starring in The Sandlot, Field of Dreams, Coming to America, and countless other films and TV shows.
