After going undrafted in 2015 due to off-field concerns, he signed with Dallas as a prized free agent.
Collins quickly earned a reputation as a powerful, physical blocker at both guard and tackle.
He became the Cowboys’ starting right tackle in 2017 and helped anchor one of the NFL’s best offensive lines.
However, injuries started to chip away at his availability and consistency.
In 2020, Collins missed the entire season due to hip surgery.
The following year, he was suspended five games for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
Despite starting strong, Collins’ time in Dallas was increasingly defined by absences rather than dominance.
The Cowboys faced salary cap pressures heading into the 2022 offseason.
Collins carried a sizable cap hit, which made his future with the team uncertain.
The Cowboys tried to trade him but found no suitors willing to take on his contract.
As a result, the Cowboys officially released Collins in March 2022.
His departure marked the end of a seven-year stint in Dallas.
Collins signed with the Cincinnati Bengals that same year and started 15 games for the team.
However, he hasn’t played a game since the 2022 season.
