The Chiefs made the announcements over the weekend – with two new assistant general managers the big news.
Mike Bradway and Chris Shea have both been promoted to work under GM Brett Veach.
Bradway formally worked as the senior director of player personnel, while Shea was senior vice president of football operations and strategy.
The departures have led to gaps in player personnel roles that will be taken by Ryne Nutt and Tim Terry.
Former football research analyst Marc Richards has moved up to take the job as director of football research and development.
Away from promotions, the Chiefs confirmed Dru Grigson and Sarah Pollack as new hires.
Grigson has been named their senior college and pro scouting executive and Pollack is the latest football data science fellow to join the team.
Summer staff Curtis McGhee, Brayden Nagy, Ryan O’Connor, Kakoa Ulufana and Maggie Woodrow have landed roles as interns and training camp fellows.
Fans reacted to the news: “Congratulations to all.”
Another added: “Chiefs always promote well from within
A third commented: “I’ll take any job with the Chiefs. ANY JOB.”
Back on the field, the Chiefs have made a move to keep defensive end George Karlaftis.
According to ESPN, he has agreed to a four-year, $93 million contract that includes $63 million guaranteed.
Karlaftis has totalled 24.5 sacks during his first three seasons with the Chiefs.
