THE Kansas City Chiefs have re-signed a two-time Super Bowl champion who left the team last year.
The 26-year-old was a member of the Chiefs’ championship teams in 2022 and 2023.

Running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire has returned to Kansas City after being waived in December.
He will join the team’s practice squad for the 2025 season.
Edwards-Helaire, 26, was previously with the New Orleans Saints.
But the LSU graduate played two just matches for New Orleans, contributing with 13 carries for 46 yards and three receptions for 24 years.
In September 2024, Edwards-Helaire opened up about his battle with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
The condition forced him to miss time during training camp last summer.
“Sometimes I’m admitted into the hospital, something I can’t stop throwing up and it’s just, I [don’t] know [anything] pretty much to stop it,” he revealed.
“Real bad dehydration… but it’s really just mentally just not being there.”
Edwards-Helaire posted on X last September, “Living with PTSD is no small feat, its hard and very overwhelming.
“Within the last month I’ve had many flare ups and the amazing staff here at the Chiefs have been helping me get through some tough times.
“I’ll be back rolling next practice!”
Clyde Edwards-Helaire has suffered from PTSD for over seven years, stemming from what he described as a “self-defence situation.”
While at LSU, he was involved in an incident where an 18-year-old who was trying to rob two players was fatally shot.
Local police did not identify the players, but the Associated Press reported that one of them was Edwards-Helaire.
At college level he was a CFP national champion and showed great promise, forgoing his senior season to enter the 2020 NFL Draft.

In his rookie year, he became the youngest player in NFL history to rush for at least 130 yards and a touchdown on debut.
The first-round pick enjoyed some success in his first four years with the Chiefs, winning the Super Bowl twice.
But he was also plagued by injuries and inconsistency during his first stint at Arrowhead Stadium.
