And they face the prospect of falling to 1-3 if they lose to the Ravens.

One of their key players, Chris Jones, was dealing with some tough personal news ahead of the game.

The Chiefs announced Saturday night that he was being added to the injury report.

Jones was listed as having a “non-injury related – personal” problem.

CBS sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson shared an update later Saturday.

She wrote, “Update on DT Chris Jones.

“Chiefs added him to the injury report with no game status designation because he is attending a family funeral.

“They expect him to be back in time for the game.”

Jones was selected in the 2016 NFL Draft and has been a key part of the team’s dynasty.

The 31-year-old has won three Super Bowl titles and is considered the leader of the defensive unit.

Kansas City was boosted by the return from injury of another key player.

Wide receiver Xavier Worthy injured his shoulder when he collided with Travis Kelce.

Worthy was forced to leave the Week 1 game against the Los Angeles Chargers early.

He missed the games against the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants.

But Worthy was a full participant in practice this week.

And coach Reid provided an update on his condition Friday.

The Chiefs head coach said, “It was an upper-body injury.

“So he’s been able to keep himself in good shape and ready to go.

“He looked good, what we asked him to do there.

“Listen, you’ve got to be healthy enough to go play.

“I mean, we’re not gonna put him out there if he’s not healthy enough to go play and where he feels comfortable.

“He feels good, and then the other team, they’re gonna play hard no matter what, whether you have a shoulder injury or not.

“They’re gonna try to knock you around a little bit.

“That’s why you want to make sure you’re in the right frame of mind to go do it and physically OK.”
