KATE Cassidy fought back tears as she baked a cake for late boyfriend Liam Payne.
The influencer, 26, shared a video of her mixing ingredients into a bowl while in her kitchen.
Kate looked heartbroken as she remembered the One Direction star, on what would have been his 32nd birthday.
She wrote: “Happy birthday Liam, I know you still have the sweetest tooth in heaven.
“I tried my best here but it’s the thought that counts enjoy,” followed by a red love heart emoji.
Her eyes began to water while she mixed her cake batter, before tasting it and then separating the mixture into two tins.
After it had baked, she decorated it with cream frosting and colourful sprinkles.
She tearfully blew out a candle and sliced a piece of the cake for herself and her sweet dog Nala, whom she shared with Liam.
Kate’s followers posted messages of support for the star.
One wrote: “Happy Birthday Liam. I’m really sure, he would love that cake. He’s always by your side.”
A second posted: “Omg so sweet. Happy birthday in heaven Liam.”
“This is so thoughtful. I’m sure he’ll love it,” a third added.
Liam tragically died in Argentina after falling from his hotel balcony in October 2024.
Earlier today, Kate took to Instagram today to share a sweet reel made up of some of their most special memories together.
In the short clip, the pair can be seen on a farm together as well as trying food with one another and Liam is captured running on a beach towards the sea.
Other memories include lighting up fireworks, skiing down a mountain, bowling and Liam holding an adorable pet pooch.
She captioned the post: “8.29.93. A special day for the most special soul. I miss you so much. Happy Birthday Liam.
“I wish we could celebrate together. In the next life I guess,” Kate concluded with a red heart emoji.
She also penned a heartfelt statement alongside another slew of snaps.
The open letter she wrote read: “My dearest Liam, it breaks my heart being that I can’t hand you a physical birthday card today. That I can’t hear your laugh, or tell you all the things I wish I’d said a thousand more times.
“I’ve been struggling to find the right words, but I’ll start with the most obvious, happy birthday. Today, you would have been 32. In your 31 years here on this earth you brought so much joy, happiness and hope to so many- especially to me.
“I hope you know how brightly you still shine, even from up there. I would give up years of my life just to give you a few more. I miss making memories with you. I miss having things to look forward to together.
“But today, my birthday gift to you is my strength. I promise you I will celebrate you extra today, honor your life, and cherish the beautiful times we’ve had. August 29th will be a date that sits in my heart for the rest of my life. I love you so much. Yours, Katelyn,” she signed off.
The pair were in a relationship for nearly two years, making their red carpet back in 2022.
