KELLY Clarkson’s crew was ‘blindsided’ by the last-minute cancelation of her Las Vegas concert as some of the members found out the bad news via her social media announcement.
Workers on Kelly’s team apparently feel “so disrespected” that they weren’t given more of a heads-up into the issues that led to the cancellation of her show just a few minutes before doors opened.

On Friday, Kelly, 43, announced that the opening night for her Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum Theater at Caesars Palace would not be happening just 10 minutes before doors were set to open at the venue.
In her announcement, she also revealed that in addition to the 4th of July show, Saturday’s concert on the 5th would also be canceled.
The move came as a shock as just hours before, Kelly posted about the concert and said “tonight is the night” – leading to more confusion and anger from fans who paid thousands to travel to Sin City for the show.
It seems fans weren’t the only ones who weren’t filled in as to what’s going on, as an insider exclusively told The U.S. Sun that the crew was kept “completely in the dark.”
“Everyone working behind the scenes was in complete shock. They woke up Friday expecting a normal day of work and began their day like always.
“It wasn’t until hours into the work day everyone was told the news. A lot of the crew found out on social media which is utterly disrespectful.
“It’s disrespectful to do that to so many people who worked their a** off for your show. She’s definitely lost the respect and confidence of a lot of her workers.”
The source added that there were “so many fans” already waiting outside the venue in anticipation to get in and some “burst into tears” when the news was announced.
“The crew was setting up like normal and bam, it hit. Fans crying about wasting thousands of dollars, fans who flew from outside of the country to see Kelly for the first time.
“She doesn’t realize the depth of how much she let people down and most of them were crying they can’t afford to come back another weekend.”
Despite the news, the insider claimed that the shows this coming weekend on July 11th and 12th are still expected to go on.
“Everyone has been showing up every day to do their job and put on a good show. Now we just need Kelly to show up. I think people will be walking on eggshells and on edge until she actually hits the stage because of how last minute she canceled,” they added.
Although the shows were abruptly canceled, The U.S. Sun was told the crew would still be paid in full as part of their contract.
The U.S. Sun has reached out to Kelly’s concert team for comment.
THE SHOW WON’T GO ON
On Friday, just 10 minutes before doors were set to open at Caesars Palace on the Vegas strip and 2 hours before showtime, Kelly shared the abrupt news that the concert was canceled.
Taking to Instagram, the Behind These Hazel Eyes songstress penned: “We have been working 24/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans.
“I am beyond grateful that you always show up for me and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow’s opening at Caesars.”
Kelly said that both “prep and rehearsals” had “taken a toll” on her voice, and that she wanted “the shows to be perfect.”

The Because Of You singer added: “I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve.
“The show is truly incredible. The musicians and singers are outstanding, and I want us all to start out strong.”
She concluded the heartfelt post with: “I can’t wait to be back next weekend and show y’all what we’ve been working on.”
SINCE SHE’S BEEN GONE
The announcement came just hours after she got fans going to the show excited with behind-the-scenes snaps, and wrote: “TONIGHT!!”
After news of Kelly canceling this weekend’s shows, fans commented with one saying: “‘Totally bummed that we flew all the way to Vegas only to find out that the show was cancelled 1 1/2 hours prior to show time. So so sad!!”
While one more added: “‘I’m outside the doors”, followed by a row of sobbing face emojis.
Kelly will now start her Vegas show later this month, with dates in August as well.
The residency will then take a break in September and October while she focuses on hosting The Kelly Clarkson Show and will conclude with a few more dates in November.
