SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – Dusty Johnson is making “a political announcement” Monday in Sioux Falls.
KELOLAND News will livestream the announcement, which is being held in downtown Sioux Falls at noon Monday.
Johnson, a Republican U.S. Rep., is up for re-election in 2026. He has served as South Dakota’s lone House member since 2018.
In April, Johnson told KELOLAND News he was receiving encouragement to run for governor.
“Certainly getting a lot of encouragement across the state to run for governor,” Johnson said April 22. “I’m not worried about that right now. I do give it a little bit of consideration every once in a while, but day in and day out, I really need to be focused on my day job.”
