KIRK Cousins has been tipped for a bombshell trade back to a former team.
The Atlanta Falcons quarterback has fallen down the pecking order behind Michael Penix Jr.

Cousins, 36, signed a four-year contract worth $180 million with the Falcons.
But now he’s a backup, that contract is proving an issue with the team looking to trade him.
And a shock report from a Minnesota Star Tribune journalist has claimed that the Vikings could be in play.
“I don’t think it’s impossible,” Ben Goessling said on the Access Vikings podcast.
“There’s still a very good relationship between Kirk Cousins and Kevin O’Connell.
“They are still friends. They are still, I think, in contact at times.”
Cousins played for the Vikings from 2018 to 2023.
He was a Pro Bowler in 2021 and 2022 with the team and twice led them into the post-season.
The quarterback left for the Falcons in March 2024.
He was caught off-guard when the team selected Penix Jr with the No. 8 overall pick last spring.
And Penix Jr has now earned the starting job in Atlanta.
Minnesota, meanwhile, have committed to JJ McCarthy as their quarterback.
McCarthy, 22, was the No. 10 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
But he missed the entire season with a torn meniscus.
Sam Darnold was Minnesota’s starting quarterback last season and performed exceptionally.
But he has moved onto the Seattle Seahawks with the Vikings committing to McCarthy.
Minnesota’s quarterback room also has Sam Howell, Brett Rypien and Max Brosmer.
Goessling continued, “How do you fit that in the locker room? It’s not his Cousins’ team anymore.
“I think everybody would have to be on the same page about what roles are and what expectations are.
“That would be the biggest hurdle, and I think the optics of that would be tricky as well.”
