Pat McAfee and Nick Saban are recent additions to College GameDay while Lee Corso is doing his final show this year.
Last year, the show underwent a major change when fan-favorite golden retriever, Ben, died.
Herbstreit quickly introduced fans to his other dog, Peter, who has taken the place of Ben.
Peter also has a little brother named Beau, and Herbstreit has two more dogs, Mitch and Theo.
On Father’s Day, Herbstreit posted a picture of his late dog Ben on social media.
Some fans aren’t thrilled with how much attention Herbstreits pets get though, and shared on social media.
“Kirk, why do you have a childlike obsession with dogs?” they said.
“It’s fathers day, you have children, but you’re still doing this strange dog bit. You’re like 50.”
Herbstreit had a simple reply, calling the fan a “Poor fella.”
After that interaction, Herbstreit posted more pictures with Beau and Peter, causing fans to ask about the dogs’ TV status.
“Is Peter going with you to GameDay?” a fan asked.
“Absolutely,” Herbstreit replied.
Beau and Mitch are also planned to make appearances on College GameDay.
Fans are thrilled to see the Herbstreit dogs coming out and shared their love on social media.
“My daughter & I will be there!” one fan said.
