On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, actor Arjan Bajwa says that the festival means the world to him. The actor, who is known for his performances in films like Fashion, Crook, Son of Sardaar, Bobby Jasoos, Rustom, and Kabir Singh, web series such as Bestsellers, State of Siege: 26/11, and Rudra: The Edge of Darkness, will be seen in Madhur Bhandarkar’s The Wives next.
He says, “Rakhi is a festival that I follow with my sister every year. Unless we are travelling or I am shooting in a different city, I look forward to visiting her place and completing the ritual.”
The actor adds that while the celebrations may have become simpler over the years, the heart behind the festival remains the same. “As kids, we would follow it very religiously, but over the years, as life gets busy, we try our best to maintain the same regime to celebrate. But emotionally, the bond remains the same,” he says.
When it comes to gifts, Arjan keeps it practical. “It is mostly cash because she can spend it however she wants or likes,” he says.
Ask him to recall one incident where his sister stood by him, and Arjan says there are many. “One incident cannot suffice the bond or relationship you share with your sister. It is a constant to stand by each other through every situation in life. And knowing that my sister has my back is my biggest strength,” he says.
