NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport confirmed Brandt’s injury before the Good Morning Football broadcast.
“Sources: @GMFB host @KyleBrandt, who is officially listed questionable for today’s show, is expected to perform, despite some pain,” Rapoport wrote.
“Brandt suffered an upper extremity injury, but is planning to fight through it.
“Tough dude.”
Fans loved to see Brandt showing up and toughing out his injury and shared their thoughts on social media.
“Mad respect to @KyleBrandt for still showing up for work even when he’s injured,” one fan said.
“I know plenty of guys who would’ve called in sick!”
“Hoping for a speedy recovery,” another fan said.
“It had to be one of those Angry Runs,” a third fan said.
“Hope he’s not on IR for week 1,” a fourth fan said.
Brandt is a fan-favorite NFL analyst, and used to be paired with Peter Schrager.
However, Schrager left NFL Network in favor of ESPN.
Now, ESPN and NFL Network are set to merge in a bombshell deal.
That means the two fan-favorite analysts can reunite in programming.
