The Ravens visit Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills in a Sunday night clash to kickoff their season.
Jackson won his second MVP title in 2023 while Allen is the reigning MVP from last year.
But The US Sun experts David Scott and Ryan Sanudo think Jackson is still the best player in the league.
“It’s hard to not say he’s the best player in the NFL,” Scott said on The US Sun YouTube show “Ain’t That Our Ball.”
“The NFL ranked him up in the top 10, not number one.
“But talk about a game changer, a guy who is going to take over a game at any time and use his skills.
“The game is not won by one individual unless it’s Lamar Jackson, who can win a game by himself.”
And Sanudo agreed, “He could’ve easily won MVP – His stats were better than Allen’s and he has got that magic touch.
“You say to yourself that you’ve got to watch the football with him.
“If he’s doing the read option and you’re just a half a second too late, it’s over.
“You have to really be on your toes with Lamar.
“It’s just an aspect that teams are frustrated with and there’s a reason why the Ravens win every year.
“They don’t even really need the weapons.
“Yes Zay Flowers is decent, but it really comes down to Lamar elevating the talent around him.”
The Ravens and Bills both hold hopes of toppling the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC to reach the Super Bowl.
Sanudo said, “Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen have both been MVP but what you have to look out for is the run game and the Ravens just have that with Derrick Henry.
“You can see just what these two teams can do but you’ve got to give the edge to the Ravens in that aspect with Jackson and Henry.
“Yes Josh Allen and James Cook can run, too, but I feel like that’s a matchup where I see the Ravens having the edge.”
