SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A significant outbreak of severe weather struck KELOLAND last night. Severe winds, large hail, and tornadoes were all reported in the region. First, this dramatic picture of a tornado was taken east of Gregory.
The storms moved east and created several areas of severe weather, holding together overnight through much of northern Iowa.
Here’s a look at some of the initial damage reports. The numbers in the middle column represent wind gusts in miles per hour and hail size measured in inches in diameter.
More storms are possible this evening, but worst of the severe weather will shift more to the south.
