LeBron James, 40, was walking on the street as he was spotted by a group of people.

A video shared by TMZ showed the NBA legend being jeered by basketball fans.

Booing broke out while one fan told him to “go back to LA” and another said “you’ll never beat MJ or Kobe Bryant“.

LeBron continued to walk past the crowd with his entourage and into a restaurant while the insults were being hurled at him.

The video has gained a lot of attention on social media with fans taking to social media to share their feelings.

One posted: “Lebron don’t care he rich.”

A second commented: “People in general have become so disrespectful.”

A third wrote: “These are grown as men acting like this btw.”

A fourth said: “The type of hate people have against LeBron is so lame.”

Another added: “Doing this as a grown man too someone that doesn’t know you is the oddest thing imaginable.”

It comes after he recently teased Knicks fans after losing to the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals.

The Knicks also fired head coach Tom Thibodeau following the results, and LeBron was quick to rub it in.

He posted: “Knicks fans, y’all good?

“You going to the Finals next year? We’ll see.”

LeBron is no stranger to being booed, as he is used to a harsh reception in Cleveland following his two exits from the Cavaliers.

He is also a villain in New York, having dominated the Knicks multiple times in his 22-year career.

He has averaged 26.7 points, 7.4 rebounds and 7.4 assists during his 61 regular-season games against them

LeBron has only played the Knicks once in the playoffs, and the result was very similar.

The match came while he was at the Miami Heat, and he led his side to victory as he claimed his first of four NBA championship titles.

LeBron had been having a good night as he was called the “greatest ever” by Tom Brady.

The NFL legend may be ruing his choice of words which would have risked upsetting Michael Jordan.

LeBron appeared unbothered when he left the restaurant later as he signed an autograph for one fan.
