According to the Tallahassee Democrat, Corso is returning to his alma mater, Florida State.
He will be in attendance for the October 4 matchup between Florida State and Miami.
Corso’s return is part of the Nugent’s Boys reunion celebrating players who competed under former head coach Tom Nugent from 1953-1958.
The reunions have been organized annually by former halfback Bob Carnes, but this year will be the final year.
The group has decreased from over 100 to less than 10 due to their age.
“This is probably going to be our last fling,” Carnes said.
“It was a great era, so many memories.
“We were there at the start, when we finally started beating some of the SEC teams.”
Corso is one of the most famous of Nugent’s Boys, but he hasn’t been able to attend many of the reunions due to his College GameDay obligations.
His attendance at the reunion will be one of his first public appearances since retiring from the ESPN show.
According to the Tallahassee Democrat, Florida State also plans to honor Lee Corso during the Miami game.
It is also likely that College GameDay will be on site for the game as well.
The matchup between Miami and Florida State is set to be a top-10 matchup, with the two teams currently ranked No. 2 and No. 8 respectively.
If GameDay is on-site, Corso could be in line for multiple reunions in one day.
Fans are thrilled to see Corso back in the college football spotlight, and they shared their thoughts on social media.
