Harris is predicted to have a left Achilles tear, but nothing has been confirmed yet[/caption]
Chargers running back Najee Harris suffered an Achilles injury in the victory.
He went down in the second quarter against the Broncos, immediately grabbing his calf.
Speaking after the game, coach Jim Harbaugh stated that preliminary tests revealed the injury.
He will undergo additional testing to determine the severity of the injury.
The coach also said he spoke to the 27-year-old at halftime to try to encourage the star.
But Harbaugh said that Harris wasn’t dejected, describing his demeanor as “cold-blooded.”
NCB’s sports injury analyst, Marty Jaramillo, took to X to share his opinion on the running back.
He wrote, “Najee Harris has sustained a Left Achilles Tear.
“Watch left calf reverberate. Injury occurs at the moment of step back to push off.
“Achilles becomes overloaded and ruptures on the extensive tension.”
Omarion Hampton replaced Harris for the remainder of the game.
The first-round pick had his best game yet for the Chargers.
The 22-year-old had 19 carries and six receptions, finishing with 129 yards in the game.
He also rushed for his first NFL touchdown just before halftime.
