Lottery officials warn players to check their tickets as $1million Powerball sits unclaimed – ticket was sold at Kroger

LOTTERY officials have warned players to check their tickets because a $1 million Powerball jackpot is still unclaimed.

The player managed to beat massive odds to win the slip, but if they don’t show themselves, it will all be for nothing.

In the state of Kentucky, a lottery player matched all five white balls to win a handsome $1 million sum.

To have matched all of the numbers, including the red Powerball, the player would’ve needed to beat odds of 1 in 11,688,053.52.

The ticket was bought at a Kroger in Owensboro, and the numbers were drawn on July 7.

The winning numbers on the ticket are 33, 35, 58, 61, 69, and the Powerball was 25, per the website.

According to the rules, the player only has 180 days from when the numbers on the ticket are drawn to claim the prize.

This gives the Powerball player until January 3, 2026, to take their cash.

To claim the prize, the player is advised to visit the Kentucky Lottery headquarters in downtown Louisville.

If you bought a lottery ticket in a Kroger in Kentucky, you should check the back of your ticket to see if you’re sitting on the $1 million.

The current Powerball jackpot is estimated at $482 million, with a cash option of $218.9 million.

KENTUCKY HOT STREAK

In the state, a ticket worth $225,000 was sold in Owensboro, too, this time at a QQ Food Mart.

The ticket comes from a Cash Ball 225 game and was announced on August 7.

This is the top prize in the Cash Ball 225 and has odds of  1 to 1,309,000 attached to it, according to the lottery.

The winning numbers from the game were 3, 25, 32, 34 and Cash Ball 25.

It happened in Illinois, where a player came incredibly close to the huge total, but missed out on it by just one number.

The player matched the five numbers 7, 14, 23, 24, 60, but was unable to get the correct Powerball, which was 14.

One person from Illinois managed to win a not-too-shabby $1 million.

The only issue is that officials are now having to hunt down that player.

They managed to beat the odds of 1 in 11,688,053.52 to win it.

The Powerball jackpot is still looking for a top winner and is rolling over to over $500 million.

In May, a California player became the latest person to win a Powerball jackpot, securing $204.5 million.
