Clark, 23, did not attend the star-studded ESPY Awards at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, California.

The ceremony was held on Wednesday night with some of the biggest names in sports present.

Clark’s performances on the court landed her an award.

She was named the ESPYs WNBA Player of the Year.

And the Indiana Fever shared their congratulations for the sophomore star’s efforts.

“Well deserved Caitlin Clark,” one fan said. “Without a doubt the best.”

While another posted, “Finally gets the accolades she deserves!!! Congratulations CC.”

And a third said, “Congratulations to her! Very much deserved.”

Clark saw off competition from Napheesa Collier of the Minnesota Lynx, Breanna Stewart from the New York Liberty and the Las Vegas Aces’ A’ja Wilson.

Wilson was also nominated for the Best Female Athlete award.

But she was beaten by Olympic gymnast superstar Simone Biles.

Clark is just in her second season in the WNBA, but she’s already racking up the accolades.

She is a two-time WNBA All-Star and was Rookie of the Year in 2024.

The 23-year-old was also named AP Female Athlete of the Year.

Clark’s 2025 season has been far from smooth sailing.

She has suffered a number of injury problems, including again this week.

The Fever star appeared to re-aggravate a groin injury that’s forced her to miss games in the 2025 season.

It happened in the final minute of the Indiana Fever’s win over the Connecticut Sun.

Clark was seen slowly walking towards the team sideline for the closing moments of the game.

And team coach Stephanie White confirmed the injury.

White said Clark would need further evaluation after she “felt a little something in her groin.”
