TWO lacrosse players from Marquette University have been named as the victims of a fatal car crash on Friday.
Scott Michaud, 19, and Noah Snyder, 20, were killed near their college campus in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, when a car collided with theirs, leaving four others injured.

The collision at the intersection of North 27th Street and West St. Paul Avenue happened around 5 pm local time.
Their identities were released by the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office on Saturday.
An unidentified 41-year-old driver has been arrested following the crash but no charges have yet been filed.
Michaud and Snyder’s vehicle was carrying six people at the time of the crash, Fox 6 News reported.
The four others suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the smash and were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment, cops said.
Michaud from Ohio and Snyder from New York were both on the Marquette Golden Eagles men’s lacrosse team and were promising students.
Three of the injured were also lacrosse student-athletes.
“Both Noah and Scott were strong students, being named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team in their first year at Marquette for maintaining a 3.0 grade point average,” the University said.
“Noah was a student in the College of Business Administration. He was one of six children and hailed from Getzville, New York.
“Scott was a biomedical sciences major in the College of Health Sciences.
“He is survived by two brothers and was from Springboro, Ohio.
“Please keep Noah and Scott’s parents, siblings and families, and the Marquette Athletics and college communities in your prayers.
“Noah and Scott’s lives were taken too soon and we share in the heartbreak of their teammates, coaches and those who knew them personally.”
The college held a mass for the pair in the Varsity Theatre on Saturday with all athletic events canceled over the weekend out of respect to them.
All students had only returned to the college campus last week after summer break.
“Please join us in praying for Noah and Scott’s family, teammates, and friends,” the lacrosse team wrote on Facebook.
“In moments like this, we come together as one community, supporting, encouraging, and lifting each other up.“
The Milwaukee Police Department confirmed that the County District Attorney’s Office is reviewing the case and any charges.
Counseling and pastoral services are on offer for staff, students and members of faculty following the tragedy.

Fellow lacrosse teams have organised a touching tribute to Michaud and Snyder.
The Muskego Lacrosse Club said on Facebook they will be “leaving our ‘Sticks Out for Noah & Scott’ to honor them and help pay our respects to their families and the Marquette University community”.
“I encourage all in the lacrosse community to do the same in remembrance of these two amazing student athletes,” the post added.
Other lacrosse players quickly shared touching images of their sticks leaning up against their front doors in honor of the pair.
Snyder’s former coach Pete Judecki said he has been left “speechless, heartbroken, and confused”, adding that Noah was “one of the best lacrosse players” and an “amazing human being”.
“This loss is un-measurable and impact large,” he said of the tragedy.
