Hampton made his NFL debut on Friday night[/caption]

After making a bit of a rookie mistake, former Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch found Hampton on the sidelines.

Hampton ran out of bounds with under a minute left on the clock.

That stopped the countdown, allowing the Chiefs to get another drive in before the half ended.

Lynch, who was suited up as a photographer for the game, made his way over to Hampton after the play to share some advice with him.

Fans thought it was a great interaction between the rookie and the legend, but questioned the legality of it on social media.

“Yo is this legal,” one fan said.

“You love to see it,” another fan said.

“Beast Mode passing the torch in a whole new way,” a third fan said.

“Is he really allowed to do that?” a fourth fan said.

“That’s awesome seeing him pass on his knowledge,” a fifth fan said.

Hampton had an okay NFL debut against the Chiefs on Friday

He ran the ball 15 times for 48 yards and no touchdowns.

He also caught two passes for 13 yards.

Most of the Chargers’ offense came through the passing game, as Justin Herbert had an incredible game.
