MCDONALD’S is launching a new ”gold” dipping sauce – and it’s hitting the fast food restaurant today.
When McDonald’s brought back the legendary Snack Wrap, fans went wild.

Now, the popular food is getting a major flavor upgrade, and it is a taste that no one expected.
While the popular Snack Wrap is not disappearing, foodies will have a new variation to try – and they can do it from today.
Starting on September 3, McDonald’s is debuting a new sauce – but if you’re keen to give it a go, you’ll have to act quick, as this specialty sauce is only around for a limited time.
Infused with notes of honey, smoke and mustard, the Special Edition Gold Sauce is a variation on North Carolina BBQ sauce.
According to a McDonald’s statement, the new sauce was created to pair with its chicken.
While the Snack Wrap is the best pairing, there are other options – Bacon Special Edition Gold McCrispy, Bacon Special Edition Gold Deluxe McCrispy and McCrispy Strips.
Although this sauce is around for a limited time, fan enthusiasm could very well change that scenario.
The Special Edition Gold Sauce will be available on Sept. 3, at participating restaurants nationwide while supplies last, according to a press release.
This comes after the popular fast food chain confirmed it will slash the prices on eight of its popular combo meals this month.
The fast food giant recently caught some heat for raising the price of the Big Mac to $18 in some places.
McDonald’s has reached a deal with its franchisees in the US to keep the cost of eight combo meals 15% below the sum of the individual items’ prices, per The Wall Street Journal.
The chain will also be running combo special later this year, specifically for a $5 breakfast and $8 Big Mac and McNugget combo meal.
These are set to be marked as Extra Value Meals.
