MCDONALD’S has just made a huge change to its breakfast menu for the first time in 50 years.
The fast food giant is making a change to one of its most iconic menu items, and it’s sure to start your day off with a kick.

Starting from Tuesday, July 8, McDonald’s is bringing out the Spicy McMuffin breakfast sandwiches.
The items will be available at participating restaurants nationwide.
The new McMuffin includes a shot of spicy sauce, along with spicy sausage options.
McDonald’s said in the announcement: “The word on the street is we’re turning up the heat on breakfast this summer.
“Starting July 8, you can add some kick to your morning routine with the sizzling debut of Spicy McMuffin breakfast sandwiches, available at participating restaurants nationwide.
“This limited-time glow-up includes everything you already love about the iconic Egg McMuffin … plus a fiery, delicious twist: a shot of McDonald’s signature Spicy Pepper Sauce.
“Fans can also enjoy the Spicy Sausage McMuffin and the Spicy Sausage McMuffin With Egg.”
The press release also noted that the new Spicy McMuffins “won’t last forever”.
It is not known how long the item will be sticking around for, so customers need to get out right now and grab one.
This marks the biggest change to the McMuffin for 50 years, since it was first shared in late 1975.
McDonald’s founder Ray Kroc wrote about the origin of the Egg McMuffin in his memoir, and hown it was created by Herb Peterson, a franchisee.
Ray wrote: “I got a call from Herb Peterson … who said he had something to show me.
“He wouldn’t give me a clue … He didn’t want me to reject it out of hand, which I might have done because it was a crazy idea — a breakfast sandwich.
“I boggled a bit at the presentation. But then I tasted it, and I was sold.

McDonald’s is bringing in two more new items for customers to enjoy this summer.
First off, the Blueberry & Crème Pie features blueberries and vanilla crème layered side by side and served hot.
The treat came onto menus on July 4 and is thought to be leaving by September 1.
McDonald’s said about this treat: “So, whether you’re going on a road trip, planning a special backyard bbq, or just craving a little pick-me-up to sweeten any afternoon, grab a Blueberry & Crème Pie (or a few) this summer.”
Then third and final new menu item at McDonald’s is the Hershey S’mores McFlurry.
It is made of vanilla soft serve, blended with Hershey’s Milk Chocolate, graham crackers and marshmallows.
The item came to menus on June 10, and is also only sticking around for a limited time.
McDonald’s said about the new McFlurry: “Whether you’re looking to grab a sweet snack before lounging around the campfire or looking to satisfy your summer craving, the HERSHEY’S S’mores McFlurry will be your go-to summer dessert.
“And while you’re at it, grab one for a friend – you know what they say, the “s’more” the merrier!”
