The 26-year-old is seeking a new contract worth around $200 million, reflecting his superstar standing within the team.
However, with talks stalling, the Green Bay Packers are circling.
As predicted by NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport last week, the Packers are leading the charge for the defensive player.
They have held exploratory trade talks with the Cowboys to try and sign the star pass rusher.
Reporter Sean Wright has stated that talks are intensifying, with the Packers looking to finalise the deal before the end of the week.
It has been suggested they are offering two first-round picks, a second-round pick and a fifth-round pick for the Dallas star.
And they would have to pay in the region of $45 million per season to Parsons.
Rapoport said on The Pat McAfee Show, “I would expect that the Packers would be among the teams interested.
“They have paid Jordan Love, they have a bunch of really good young players, but there’s some guys like Quay Walker they’ve not paid.
“They have money to spend and they are really good.
“I would expect that the Packers would be among the teams interested.
“They need one final piece and this guy is an absolute dawg.
“He’s worth all the money so pay him all the money.”
Both sides play in the NFC, with Dallas in the East division, while Green Bay plays in the North.
Cowboys’ GM and owner Jerry Jones was confident of keeping Parsons when speaking to Stephen A Smith last week.

He told Smith, “We got him for three years, no matter what.”
The day before, Jones appeared on Michael Irvin’s YouTube channel, where they also discussed the situation.
The Cowboys’ owners declared that he offered Parsons a contract that would make him the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL.
But with rumours escalating in the last day, he has yet to make an official statement.
Having been drafted No. 12 overall in 2021, Parsons received over $17 million, plus bonuses, for his first four seasons.
This is set to rise to almost $25 million this season, but the defensive end wants more.
He has now claimed he no longer wants to be at the Cowboys.
The former Penn State player had a brilliant 2024, making 12 sacks in the regular season (tied fifth).
Interestingly, this was his worst season to date in the NFL, but he played fewer games.
He forced two fumbles and made 43 tackles, taking his career tackles to over 256.
Parsons now has 52.5 career sacks and is on track to finish in the top 20 of all time.
