The Dolphins were hammered 33-8 in their opening game by the Indianapolis Colts.

This was then followed by Sunday’s 27-33 defeat to the New England Patriots at Hard Rock Stadium.

Fans were left unimpressed by the team’s performance as boos could be heard echoing around the stadium.

McDaniel, 42, would have been hoping for better as fans were already unsure over him before the season started.

As the pressure mounts on the head coach, he has left fans even more outraged with his bizarre comments after losing to the Patriots.

He said: “To win games, you have to win the game and not lose the game, honestly.

“And that is how you lose the game.

“You’re moving the ball down the field, you’re first-and-10 and then you find yourself at second-and-20. That was critical.”

Fans have been left astonished by the obvious comments by McDaniel.

Many took to social media to complain about his continued employment by the Dolphins.

One posted: “He’s gonna get fired Friday morning.”

A second wrote: “Dude’s days are numbered.”

A third commented: “And here I thought I knew everything there was to know about the game of football and now, out of nowhere, I find out that in order to win the game, you have to win the game, not lose the game. Mind blown!”

A fourth said: “What is he saying, we know that it’s common sense. If you don’t win you lose. Get the hell out of dodge.”

Another added: “If I were a Dolphins fan, I’d be fuming this guy was my coach.”

Fans’ demands for McDaniel to be fired, as well as general manager Chris Grier, were also on show against the Patriots.

A banner was flown by a plane above the stadium with the message “Fire McDaniel. Fire Grier.”

McDaniel will try to alleviate the pressure on his shoulders when the Dolphins next take to the field.

They are in action against the Buffalo Bills on Thursday at Highmark Stadium.

The Bills still have a perfect record after beating both the Baltimore Ravens and the New York Jets.

McDaniel insisted in his press conference that he is not worried about his “job security” for the time being.

He added: “I think if I worry about my job security, I won’t be doing my job, and I think that inherently is against all things that I believe in.

“I’ve never felt entitled to any sort of – I’ve never felt entitled to this position, and it’s very important for me to spend all of my waking hours worrying about exactly how to do my job and all the residual effects of that are there’s a lot of people affected.

“I won’t spend one moment thinking about all the things that people – whatever people want me to think about.

“I’m thinking about this team and the Buffalo Bills here after I get done with this podium.
